Digital Event Strategist

COURSE OVERVIEW : The Digital Event Strategists (DES) Certification curriculum was designed by event professionals, for event professionals. The Program features 6 modules online course and a final exam. Along the way, there will be live weekly expert hours” with an expert, available to answer any questions you may have along with 1 hour Exam Prep. Our suggestion is to tackle one module a week, but please feel free to move at your own pace. The modules you will be working through include: Module 1: Industry Overview+Types of Digital Events Module 2: Business Plan + Monetization Module 3: Audience Engagement + Content Module 4: Technology + Production Module 5: Marketing + Social Media Module 6: Measurement + ROI DES SLACK CHANNEL : As a DES learner, you will have access to the PCMA DES Slack workspace where you can connect with your cohort, share business event industry news, and network with new connections. You will receive the Slack workspace sign-in information prior to the start of the course. ACCESSING THE COURSE CONTENT : You must create your PCMA account at https://admin.pcma.org by 31 January 2021. Then we will notify PCMA to assign DES course to your account. TAKING THE EXAM : Upon completion of the course materials, you will be eligible to take the DES Certification Exam. Further details for accessing the exam will be provided in advance of course completion. AFTER THE EXAM : Upon successful completion of the DES course and exam, you will be notified of your Exam Score. Upon Passing the DES Final Exam, you will receive your DES Certification within 2 business days. Your DES Certification will be active for 2 years upon passing the Final Exam.         The Event Design Certificate Program is an immersive, three-day training course that teaches a systematic, 10-step, visual approach to event design for meeting professionals. Program participants learn critical skills that enable them to design events based on stakeholder needs, and then prototype event designs using the #EventCanvas, a strategic event management template for developing new—or documenting existing—events and conference models.         You’ll Be Able To:        Coordinate: Able to exhibit #EventCanvas basic skill set and awareness including stakeholder awareness, analysis and behavior mapping (empathy maps).
